Biography

Short Biography · For Press Use

Adriane Queiroz is a Brazilian lyric soprano and permanent ensemble member of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin since 2002. Her repertoire spans leading roles in Mozart, Puccini, and Verdi, and she has performed on stages in Berlin, Paris, Lisbon, Stuttgart, and Dresden, as well as in her native Brazil.

Few artists can claim over two decades at a single house — and fewer still bring to that tenure the range, warmth, and commitment that Adriane Queiroz has made her own at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin since 2002.

Born in Brazil, Adriane shaped her artistry across two continents. Her studies took her from South America to the University of Missouri, then to the heart of the Viennese tradition at the Conservatory and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna — a formation that united the expressive openness of her roots with the precision and depth of the Central European school.

At the Staatsoper, her roles have ranged from the luminous Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro to the dramatic weight of Amelia in Un ballo in maschera and Liù in Turandot. In 2023, she added Elisabetta in Verdi's Don Carlo to her repertoire — a role debut that confirmed the continued growth of her voice and artistry.

Beyond Berlin, she has appeared as a guest artist in Paris, Lisbon, Weimar, Stuttgart, and Dresden, and on stages across Brazil in Manon Lescaut, Falstaff, and La traviata. On the concert platform, she has performed major choral-orchestral works, including Mahler's Symphony No. 8 under Pierre Boulez.

Her discography includes Tiefland conducted by Bertrand de Billy, Der Bettelstudent from the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, and Mahler's Eighth Symphony with Pierre Boulez.

Alongside her performing career, Adriane is an active vocal educator — offering private coaching and masterclasses to singers at all levels in technique, interpretation, and the realities of a professional stage career.
